This is Pete Perron from Seattle.
I am a world-class ice speedskater who got turned
on to vert skating this summer by a lady
instructor,
age 40 (Trish Alexander).
I saw your link to ASA, and their "screw the
ladies"
attitude.
Funny thing is, I believe the skating
public, and the general public, would RATHER watch
women do vert. So what you're doing seems to be
a precursor to a Womens Tour. And, unfortunately,
like other sports, women have to prove themselves
before the coverage and $$$ happens.
Anyway, we in the rain city support you, and
hopefully you can find a Chris Edwards-type
willing to promote the "fab" side of the sport.

i am 13 years old and want to say that woodward is the best place
in the world.um.... i m tryin to get back into skatin...the scene is bad, but

hi kate. - my name's Phoebe and i live in toronto, canada. cool place here. there are a lot of aggro skating guys here but no girls. i think i'm the only one here.
i don't skate anymore, you see... wish i could. first, it's freezing outside. second, i have no one to skate with. third, we have NO skateparks in toronto. fourth, i work. and fifth, the school work is killing me.
we have this skatepark called Shred Central, but it's tiny and it's just skateboarders.
do i sound like i'm chicken shit? i luv aggressive skating. i'm not scared of getting hurt or nothin'. i'm not gonna throw away my skates or pads. never will. i wanna take it up again.
does anyone have any advice? help me, cause i'm jealous of all those chicks skating and i'm not in the action!
